How to place a Lure in Pokémon Go

Why is my Lure Module grayed out? Why can't I place a Lure? We show you how!
Pokémon Go is heating up right now. You can make friends with other players by placing a Lure at a PokéStop so everyone can take advantage of the benefits.
You may have noticed that some PokeStops have what looks like confetti floating around it. That means someone has placed a Lure on that stop in order to draw in Pokémon. If you want to place a Lure at a Pokéstop, but noticed that it is grayed out in your Items bag, we have a quick guide to show you how it works.
How long do Lure Modules last in Pokémon Go?
You'll get 30 minutes of Pokémon gathering when you place a Lure.
How to make sure you have a Lure in Pokémon Go
Even if it's grayed out in your Item bag, you might still have a Lure or two ready to use.
  1. Open Pokémon Go to the Map screen.
  2. Tap the Poké Ball icon at the bottom center of the screen.
  3. Tap Items.
  4. Scroll down to Lure Module. Even though it is grayed out, if it shows up on your items list, you have at least one Lure.

  2. Tap on the nearby PokéStop.
  3. Tap the small, white, pill-shaped Lure Module slot that sits just above the circular disc and just below the name of the PokéStop

    4. Tap the PokéStop Module at the bottom of the screen.

How to "lure" people to your business with a Lure in Pokémon Go
Many PokéStops are near retail locations, like mall stores, coffee shops, or restaurants. If you run a business or happen to be working at one, you can lure trainers to your shop by placing a Lure Module at the Pokéstop closest to you.
Then you can offer them tasty beverages or snacks to keep their energy up! Everybody wins!
Be sure to let people know you are flying the Pokémon Go flag by posting on social networks like Twitter that you have Lures set up. Or, put out that sidewalk sign with an enticing notice: "PokéStop Inside!"
